Children and youth taking part in Godly Play and Sunday services at Faith
Sunday mornings

Godly Play

Sundays, 9:00am Ages 4–14 Parish hall

Families gather in the parish hall at 9am for Godly Play, and children are brought into the sanctuary after the sermon to join their parents and caregivers.

We choose to be formed by Godly Play because we find it to be a curriculum that acknowledges the mystery God is pursuing all of us — including (and maybe especially!) children — through the stories of Jesus and the People of God in Scripture, wonder, and play. Godly Play honors the centrality of children and their capacity for spiritual life with God and community.

In the service

Children and youth are very welcome at Faith

Children and youth are encouraged to participate in services as much as they choose.

  • Children are welcome to take communion along with their parents and caregivers.
  • Children serve as acolytes and help with the offering.
  • Percussion instruments are handed out at the end of the service, to bring a joyful noise to our closing hymn.
  • There is a play area at the back of the sanctuary.
  • A nursery room lets children and parents see and hear the service from a quieter spot.
