Grieve Together: A Community Grief Circle

What to Expect
Led by Dr. Jeffrey Batstone, the gathering will include:
- Ritual
- Drumming
- Singing
- Talking circles
- Meditation
- Teaching and guidance
- Reflection
We all carry grief, and we cannot carry it alone and remain healthy.
Come join us for an afternoon as we intentionally turn our attention toward the grief we carry. In a culture that avoids and rushes through pain, we need spaces where we can apprentice ourselves to grief and grow into a new relationship with it.
This is a time and place set aside to honor how our bodies and psyches hold grief:
The grief in our own lives.
The grief in our families, communities, and the world.
The grief of our ancestors.
The grief of the natural world.
Whatever your grief, you are welcome here.
This circle is open to anyone who wants to sit in intentional community and acknowledge what they carry in their heart. We’ll move our bodies in ways that express grief, and that includes making some noise.
We aim to create a space that is safe enough, though not necessarily comfortable. You’ll be invited to participate rather than observe, in ways that bring you to your growth edge, which is often the place we fear and avoid.
This is suited for 18+ years old – no prior experience with group work or healing spaces is needed.
