What to Expect

Led by Dr. Jeffrey Batstone, the day will include:

  • Ritual
  • Drumming
  • Singing
  • Talking Circles
  • Meditation
  • Teaching and Guiding
  • Reflection

We all carry grief and we cannot carry it alone and remain in health.

Come and join us for a few hours while we intentionally direct our attention to the grief we carry.

n a culture that avoids and rushes through pain, we need spaces that help us apprentice with grief, grow in a new relationship to the grief in our lives.

This is a place and time set aside for honoring how our bodies and psyches hold grief.

The grief in our lives.

The grief in our families, communities, and the world.

The grief of our ancestors

The grief of our natural world.

Whatever your grief, you are welcome here.

This circle is open to anyone who wants to be in an intentional circle and acknowledge what they are carrying in their heart.

We’ll be moving our bodies in ways that express our grief.  That includes making some noise.

We are creating a safe-enough space, not necessarily a comfortable one.  You’ll be invited to participate (instead of spectating) in ways that will bring you to your growth edge, which can often be the places we fear and avoid.

This gathering is open to all ages, backgrounds, and identities. You do not need prior experience with group work or healing spaces.
